Patrice Cormier will learn his fate Monday.
The Quebec Major Junior Hockey League announced Wednesday it will unveil "disciplinary measures" for Cormier, a forward with the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies, early next week.
Cormier, who served as captain of Canada's world junior team, earned nation-wide attention this week for elbowing Mikael Tam during a game and sending the Quebec Remparts player to hospital with brain trauma and broken teeth.
The QMJHL said Raymond Bolduc, its chief disciplinarian, has been examining testimony from witnesses, including statements from players, on-ice officials and representatives from Rouyn-Noranda and the Remparts.
The league said it will not comment again until the announcement is made Monday.
