National Hockey League draft prospects Tyler Toffoli and Jordan Weal captured hot player of the week honours while 2011 draft-eligible Sean Couturier was also red-hot. Playoff implications headline the final week of the regular season.

Ontario Hockey League

Hot team: London Knights

The Knights kept their faint hopes of clinching first in the Western Conference alive last week. London won its last three straight games and is unbeaten in regulation in its last four, but trail the defending champion Windsor Spitfires by six points with three games remaining. London will host Windsor on Friday.

Hot player: Tyler Toffoli, Ottawa 67's

The dynamically-skilled forward continues improving his draft stock after a very slow start to the season. Toffoli scored four goals and five assists for nine points in three games last week. He scored the game-winners over Peterborough and Barrie and was a plus-4 on the week. The 67's clinched the East Division and the Eastern Conference's second seed.

Cold team: Belleville Bulls

The transitional season in Belleville continued as the Bulls' winless streak hit seven games. While the contests have been close -- five of those seven losses were by two goals or less -- the Bulls gathered just one point in an overtime loss to Kingston on Feb. 27. Belleville will finish the campaign with the second-worst record this season.

Cold player: John Moore, Kitchener Rangers

The first-round pick of the Columbus Blue Jackets sputtered down the stretch. Moore picked up two assists in the third game of the week against Guelph, but was a minus-5 through those games. Moore has not been dependable in his own zone of late and is a minus-15 in his last nine outings. Kitchener will need more from their stud defenceman in the playoffs.

Game of the week: Oshawa Generals vs. Peterborough Petes, Saturday

The Petes and Generals open the week in a four-team race for the final three playoff spots in the Eastern Conference. Peterborough has the edge with a five-point lead over Oshawa. The Generals are in jeopardy of missing the playoffs for the second season in a row and have the biggest disadvantage as they trail eighth-place Sudbury by three points. The Petes will likely clinch early in the week, while the Generals could need a win to get in.

Western Hockey League

Hot team: Calgary Hitmen

The defending Eastern Conference champion Hitmen are within grasp of another regular-season championship. Calgary has reeled off six straight wins and is unbeaten in regulation in its last 10. The Hitmen lead the league with 101 points, reaching the century mark for the second season in a row. Brandon trails by three points with three games remaining.

Hot player: Jordan Weal, Regina Pats

The Pats may have missed the playoffs, but their top two scorers are finishing the season with a bang. Weal and teammate Jordan Eberle both enjoyed seven-point weeks. The sophomore forward scored four times and added three assists with a plus-1. He also scored the game-winner over Lethbridge on Friday. Weal's 99 points is three shy of Eberle's totals.

Cold team: Prince George Cougars

The Cougars failed to pick up a point for the 13th consecutive game last week. Prince George has not won since beating Kamloops 4-2 on Feb. 10 and may not win another game this season. The Cougars have the worst record in the Canadian Hockey League and will finish their disappointing season with four games against B.C. Division rivals.

Cold player: Craig Cunningham, Vancouver Giants

The veteran forward's breakout season slowed to a halt last week. Cunningham was held to one assist and a minus-4 in three games after leading the league in scoring following the holiday break. He is now fourth with 94 points and will likely be unable to regain the scoring lead as Eberle holds an eight-point cushion on Cunningham.

Game of the week: Everett Silvertips vs. Spokane Chiefs, Sunday

The Western Conference picture could be decided on the final day of the regular season. The Silvertips, Chiefs and Tri-City Americans will all vie for the U.S. Division and conference crown. Everett is tied with Tri-City with 93 points while the Chiefs are a few points back at 89. The Silvertips and Chiefs won eight of their last 10 games and are worthy of winning the conference title. The Chiefs could be at a disadvantage in that Sunday's game will be the third of three in a row, after a home and home with the Americans.

Québec Major Junior Hockey League

Hot team: Drummondville Voltigeurs

The defending league champions continued flexing their muscle in anticipation of the playoffs. Drummondville defeated the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies and Val-d'Or Foreurs last week to run its winning streak to an impressive 13 games. The Voltigeurs will hit the century mark in points with its next win, but will be unable to catch Saint John for first overall.

Hot player: Sean Couturier, Drummondville Voltigeurs

The highly touted prospect for the 2011 draft led the charge for the surging Voltigeurs. Couturier scored twice and assisted on three more for five points in two games and a plus-3 rating. The sophomore forward scored the game-winner over Val-d'Or on Saturday and is now second in league scoring behind Moncton's Nicolas Deschamps.

Cold team: Halifax Mooseheads

The rebuilding Mooseheads have little more than pride left to play for this season. Already eliminated from the playoffs, Halifax continues to play with very little urgency and was outscored 13-3 in two losses to Acadie-Bathurst and Saint John. Halifax is winless in its last 10 games and will see the end of their season this weekend.

Cold player: Robin Gusse, Chicoutimi Saguenéens

The Saguenéens are sputtering as their once surprising goaltending tandem is struggling. Gusse, the team's first-round pick in last summer's draft, was beat on 10-of-53 shots through two losses for a save percentage of .811. It appears the shoe may have fallen on the Saguenéens' once reliable goaltending.

Game of the week: Lewiston MAINEiacs vs. Drummondville Voltigeurs, Sunday

The Lewiston MAINEiacs have an inside track on obtaining one of the final two playoff spots. Lewiston is four points up on Baie-Comeau with three games remaining in each team's schedule. The MAINEiacs have the tougher schedule with two against Drummondville and another against Victoriaville. Baie-Comeau plays Chicoutimi twice and finishes the season in Québec against the Remparts. Depending on how the beginning of the week plays out, the final game of the season could determine the final playoff spot for Lewiston.
