The Peterborough Petes will announce shortly the signing of former NHLer Dave Reid as the team’s new general manager.
Reid, who played with the Petes from 1981-1984 and was co-captain of the team, replaces Jeff Twohey whose contract was not renewed by the team.
Reid, who turns 46 May 15, played 18 years in the NHL with Boston, Toronto, Dallas and Colorado winning two Stanley Cups. He was a solid two-way player who scored 165 goals and 369 points in 961 games.
