Ty Rattie's milestone day came at the expense of the Prince George Cougars.
The Portland right-winger scored his 49th and 50th goals of the season Monday as the Winterhawks routed Prince George 7-2 in the Western Hockey League.
Rattie added an assist, giving him 100 points in 56 games this season.
He's the first Winterhawk player to reach 50 goals since 2001-02 and the first to register at least 100 points since 1997-98.
Elsewhere in the WHL it was: Edmonton 5 Medicine Hat 4 (SO); and Swift Current 5 Moose Jaw 4 (SO)
At Portland, Ore., Rattie's milestone goal came with 2:50 remaining in regulation. Taylor Leier found Rattie alone in front of the Prince George goal and all he had to do was knock the puck into an open net for No. 50.
Sven Bartschi also scored twice for Portland (41-15-3), which took a two-point lead over the Tri-City Americans for first place in the U.S. Division. Chase De Leo, Joseph Morrow and Brendan Leipsic also scored for the Winterhawks.
Troy Bourke and Dalton Siwak replied for Prince George (19-37-2), which remained two points behind Seattle and Victoria in the Western Conference playoff race.
Prince George starting goaltender Drew Owsley allowed five goals on 24 shots before being lifted for backup Devon Fordyce, who turned away 24 of 26 shots in relief. Mac Carruth made 27 saves in victory.
Portland finished 3-for-6 on the power play and scored a short-handed goal, while the Cougars went scoreless on four chances with the man advantage.
The two teams face off again Tuesday in Portland.
Oil Kings 5 Tigers 4 (SO)
At Edmonton, Tyler Maxwell and Martin Gernat scored in the shootout as the Oil Kings (39-14-7) got past Medicine Hat (35-20-5).

Broncos 5 Warriors 4 (SO)
At Swift Current, Sask., Brad Hoban had the only goal in the shootout as the Broncos (23-32-6) defeated Moose Jaw (37-16-7).
