SHAWINIGAN, Que. — Daniel Audette has found his place on the Sherbrooke Phoenix’s power-play unit.
Audette had a hat trick and added an assist as Sherbrooke routed the Shawinigan Cataractes 7-1 on Thursday in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action.
All four of Audette’s points came on the power play.
Kay Schweri scored twice for the Phoenix (8-4-0), with one of the goals coming on the man advantage. Jeremy Roy and David Storto rounded out the attack.
Alex Bureau made 26 saves for the win.
Sebastien Gauthier was the lone scorer for Shawinigan (6-5-2), while Marvin Cupper stopped 24-of-30 shots he faced as the Cataractes starting goaltender. Antoine Samuel turned aside six of seven shots in relief.
Sherbrooke went 4 for 9 on the power play, while Shawinigan could not score on its two man advantages.

Anthony DeLuca also scored for the Oceanic (10-3-0).

Maxime St-Cyr, Luca Ciampini, Guillaume Beaudry and Jamie Clavet supplied the offence for Baie-Comeau (7-4-1).
Eric Brassard turned aside 27-of-30 shots for the Remparts (7-4-0).
