MONCTON, N.B. — The Blainville-Boisbriand Armada are soaring atop the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League standings.

Frederic Bergeron scored twice as the undefeated Armada shut out the Moncton Wildcats 4-0 on Thursday for their ninth straight win.

Ryan Tesink and Nikita Jevpalovs also scored for league-leading Blainville-Boisbriand (9-0-0), while Etienne Marcoux made 22 saves.

Alex Dubeau allowed all four goals on 19 shots in net for the Wildcats (4-7-0).

GATINEAU, Que. — Victoriaville kept pace one point behind the Armada atop the standings by edging the Olympiques.

Maxime Pelletier and Luke St-Amand each scored in the first period for the Tigres (7-3-1).

Emile Poirier also scored in the first for Gatineau (6-4-0).

Brandon Whitney made 20 saves for the Tigres, while at the other end Robert Steeves stopped 17 shots for Gatineau.
