CHLers dominate ISS top 30 NHL prospect rankings

ISS Hockey released its November list of the top 30 prospects for the 2015 NHL Draft and players from the Canadian Hockey League continue to lead the way.

Of the 30 skaters on the list, 18 play in the CHL with projected first-overall pick Connor McDavid of the Erie Otters being one of nine from the Ontario Hockey League. In fact, OHLers hold down five of the top 10 spots.

Mathew Barzal of the Seattle Thunderbirds is ranked fourth; he’s one of five players from the WHL.

There are four players from the QMJHL on the bottom half of the list with Charlottetown Islanders winger Daniel Sprong leading that group at the No. 18 spot.

Highly touted Americans Jack Eichel of Boston University and Noah Hanifin of Boston College are ranked second and third, respectively, and defenceman Oliver Kylington of Farjestad in the Swedish Hockey League is the top-ranked European skater.
