The Halifax Mooseheads are one win away from the President Cup final.
Jonathan Drouin scored 16:01 into overtime as the Mooseheads edged the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies 3-2 in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League playoff action Tuesday.
Konrad Abeltshauser and Stefan Fournier also scored for the Mooseheads, while Zachary Fucale made 22 saves to give Halifax a 3-0 series lead.
Marcus Power and Francis Perron replied for the Huskies, who were outshot 11-1 by Halifax in overtime.
Rouyn-Noranda goaltender Alexandre Belanger kept his team alive with 46 saves.
Elsewhere, Blainville-Boisbriand shut out Baie-Comeau 3-0.
At Rouyn-Noranda, Que., both teams went scoreless through the first period before Power gave the Huskies the lead nine minutes into the second.
Just over two minutes later Abeltshauser tied the game, and Fournier gave Halifax the lead at 11:10 in the third before Perron’s goal at 16:08 sent the game to overtime.
Game 4 is Thursday in Rouyn-Noranda.
Armada 3, Drakkar 0
At Boisbriand, Que., the Armada got back in their series with goals from Xavier Ouellet, Ryan Tesink and Christopher Clapperton.
Etienne Marcoux made 11 saves for Blainville-Boisbriand, which trails Baie-Comeau 2-1 in the series.
Philippe Cadorette stopped 33 shots for the Drakkar.
Game 4 goes Wednesday in Boisbriand.
