BAIE-COMEAU, Que. — Frederic Gamelin and Maxime St-Cyr scored two goals apiece — including one each shorthanded — to power the Baie-Comeau Drakkar to a 6-2 victory over the Chicoutimi Sagueneens in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action on Tuesday.
Jeremy Gregoire had a power-play goal and an assist for Baie-Comeau (31-16-7) while Simon Desbiens rounded out the attack with an empty-net, short-handed goal late in the third period.
Samuel Blier and Charles Guevremont supplied the offence for the Sagueneens (23-24-5).
Drakkar goaltender Philippe Cadorette made 34 saves. Chicoutimi’s Julia Billia stopped 30 shots in the losing effort.
Both teams were 1 for 5 on the power play.
Baie-Comeau’s Guillaume Beaudry was assessed a game misconduct for being an aggressor at 12:27 of the third period.
