Gaunce scores twice as Bulls tie series with Colts

BARRIE, Ont. — Brendan Gaunce scored a pair of goals and Malcolm Subban turned aside 32 shots to lead the Belleville Bulls to a 3-1 victory over the Barrie Colts in Ontario Hockey League playoff action on Saturday.

The win ties the Eastern Conference semifinal at 3-3, with Game 7 set to be played in Belleville on Monday night.

Alan Quine had the other marker for the Bulls, who have come back from a 3-1 deficit to force a deciding game.

Aaron Ekblad struck for Barrie, which lost on home ice for the first time in this post-season.

Neither team found success on the man advantage, with the Colts and Bulls each going 0-for-3 on the power play.

Mathias Niederberger made 27 saves in a losing cause.
