KAMLOOPS, B.C. — Connor Gay had a hat trick and added an assist in the Regina Pats’ 7-3 rout of the Kamloops Blazers in Western Hockey League action on Friday.
Dryden Hunt added five assists for the Pats (15-10-1) while Kyle Burroughs, Morgan Klimchuk, Jared McAmmond and Pavel Padakin rounded out the scoring.
Luke Harrison, Patrik Maier and Logan McVeigh all scored for the Blazers (11-12-5), who dropped their third straight game.
Tyler Brown picked up the win in goal for Regina, making 33 saves. Connor Ingram stopped 2-of-5 shots in 5:50 before being pulled by Kamloops. Cole Kehler replaced him and made 35 saves in 54:10.
The Pats scored once on five power-play chances while the Blazers went 0 for 2.
Regina’s Austin Wagner was ejected at 2:29 of the second period after receiving a major penalty for checking to the head.

CALGARY — Connor Rankin scored twice and added two assists to lead the Hitmen over Swift Current.
Chase Lang also had a pair of goals for Calgary (14-10-3) with Kenton Helgesen and Travis Sanheim adding the others.
Brett Lernout, Jake DeBrusk, Carter Rigby and Coda Gordon supplied the Swift Current (14-11-4) offence.

PORTLAND, Ore. — Oliver Bjorkstrand had a pair of goals to lead the Winterhawks over Kootenay.
Winnipeg Jets prospect Nicolas Petan, Blake Heinrich and Alex Schoenborn also scored for Portland (13-12-3), which won its fourth straight.
Sam Reinhart and Tim Bozon found the back of the net for the Ice (11-15-0).

SASKATOON — Tim McGauley scored his second of the game 37 seconds into overtime and added an assist as Brandon edged the Blades.
Ryan Pilon and Eric Roy also chipped in for the Wheat Kings (20-5-2). Jayce Hawryluk added three assists for Brandon, which has picked up at least a point in its last four games.
Ryan Graham struck twice for Saskatoon (7-17-2) with Alex Forsberg adding the other.

EDMONTON — Tristan Jarry made 35 saves to record the shutout as the Oil Kings blanked Vancouver.
Ashton Sautner, Brandon Baddock and Aaron Irving scored for Edmonton (14-10-4).
Cody Porter turned aside 26 shots for the Giants (9-18-0), who lost their sixth straight.

MEDICINE HAT, Alta. — Tyler Lewington scored his third goal of the season 4:19 into overtime as the Tigers edged Red Deer.

EVERETT, Wash. — Scott Allan scored at 17:12 in the third period as Seattle downed the Silvertips.
Donovan Neuls and Ethan Bear supplied the rest of the offence for the Thunderbirds (10-11-4). The win snaps a four-game losing streak for Seattle.
