The world junior hockey championship has become a bit of a holiday tradition for many Canadians, but fans better be prepared to pony up if they want to see the games live when the event comes back to Canada next year.
On Monday, Hockey Canada released their first ticket packages for the tournament that will take place in both Toronto (Air Canada Centre) and Montreal (Bell Centre) … and they’re a bit steep.
Each Toronto package available consists of 13 games—10 preliminary round, two quarter-finals and one Team Canada pre-competition game—with prices starting at $642 (purples). You can see the entire pricing structure below.
The Montreal package offers a bit better value considering they have 19 games, including the gold medal game, bronze medal game, two semifinal matchups, 10 preliminary round games and a Team Canada pre-game, but it’s still a lot of dough.
Just to make things easier, all 2017 purchases are non-refundable and there are no cancellations.
The schedule for the tournament will be available in the new year.
