SHERBROOKE, Que. — Curtis Lazar scored three goals and assisted on another to lead Canada over Russia 6-3 at the world junior development camp on Thursday.
Sam Bennett and Nick Baptiste had a goal and an assist apiece for the Canadians (3-0-0-0), while Sam Reinhart also scored.
Nikita Cherepanov, Vladislav Gavrikov and Ivan Barbashev scored for Russia (1-2-0-0).
Canada’s Zachary Fucale made 17 saves on 19 shots through just under 30 minutes of action, and Tristan Jarry stopped eight of nine the rest of the way.
Russian goaltender Ilya Sorokin made 34 saves in the loss.
