London Knights forward Max Domi set the hockey world abuzz Monday night after an incredible between-the-legs saucer pass that led to a goal.
As the Knights skated the puck into the Portland Winterhawks zone during the second period of their MasterCard Memorial Cup round robin matchup, Domi got the puck and flipped a perfect saucer pass to Bo Horvat, who proceeded to hit the puck out of mid air and into the back of the net.
The goal pulled the Knights to within one goal of the Winterhawks and even the Knights ended up losing 6-3, Domi’s pass had hockey fans, players and analysts across the country tweeting their appreciation for the move.
