OHL: Marchese scores winner as Storm top Rangers

GUELPH, Ont. — Chris Marchese scored a tie-breaking goal late in the third period as the Guelph Storm rallied for a 3-2 victory over the Kitchener Rangers on Tuesday in Ontario Hockey League play.

Marchese found the back of the net with his 17th goal of the season at 17:35 of the third to cap the comeback for the Storm (37-25-4).

Pius Suter and James McEwan also scored for Guelph, which trailed 2-0 in the second period.

David Miller and Connor Bunnaman had goals for the Rangers (31-24-10), who have dropped back-to-back games.

Justin Nichols made 28 saves for the winning side. Jake Patterson stopped 34 shots in defeat.

The Storm failed to score on four power-play chances while Kitchener was 1 for 2 with the man advantage.
