OHL Playoffs: Barrie takes 2-0 lead over Battalion

BARRIE, Ont. — Justin Scott had his second goal of the night in overtime as the Barrie Colts edged the North Bay Battalion 3-2 on Monday in Ontario Hockey League playoff action.

Anthony Stefano forced the extra period when he scored at the 17:43 mark of the third period for Barrie, which takes a 2-0 series lead. Mackenzie Blackwood made 34 saves for the win in net.

Mike Amadio had back-to-back goals 29 seconds apart in the first period to give North Bay a 2-0 lead. Goaltender Jake Smith stopped 33 shots for the Battalion.

Neither team scored on the power play, with the Colts going 0 for 2 and North Bay going 0 for 3.

SAULT STE. MARIE, Ont. — Bobby MacIntyre scored twice, including the winner with 23 seconds left in regulation time, as the Greyhounds slipped past Erie.

Morgan Frost also scored as Sault Ste. Marie.

Kyle Pettit and Dylan Strome responded for the Otters.

Erie leads the best-of-seven series 2-1.
