OHL playoffs: Generals even series with Battalion

NORTH BAY, Ont. — Stephen Desrocher scored a tie-breaking goal midway through the third period as the Oshawa Generals evened their Ontario Hockey League playoff series with a 3-2 victory over the North Bay Battalion on Wednesday.

Michael Dal Colle had a power-play goal and an assist for the Generals, who tied the best-of-seven Eastern Conference final at two games apiece. Matt Mistele also scored on the man advantage.

Marcus McIvor, on a power play, and Mathew Santos had goals for the Battalion.

Oshawa goaltender Ken Appleby stopped 24 shots. North Bay’s Jake Smith made 13 saves in the losing effort.

The Generals host Game 5 on Friday.
