ST. CATHARINES, Ont. — Aaron Haydon scored 1:07 into overtime as the Niagara IceDogs edged the Kingston Frontenacs 3-2 on Sunday afternoon to take a commanding 3-0 lead in their second round Ontario Hockey League playoff series.
Josh Ho-Sang and Johnny Corneil had goals in regulation for Niagara.
Juho Lammikko scored a short-handed goal at 18:02 of the third to force extra time for the Frontenacs. Lawson Crouse opened the scoring in the first.
Alex Nedeljkovic turned away 32-of-34 shots for the win in net as Lucas Peressini made 32 saves in defeat.
IceDogs defenceman William Lochead received a major penalty and game misconduct for kneeing in the second period.
Both teams were scoreless on three power-play opportunities.

LONDON, Ont. — Toronto Maple Leafs prospect Mitchell Marner had a short-handed goal and three assists as the Knights rallied past Kitchener in Game 2 of their second round OHL series.
Christian Dvorak opened the scoring on the power play for London before the Rangers responded with three-straight goals. Matthew Tkachuk, Marner, Cliff Pu and Victor Mete answered back for the Knights, who took a 2-0 series advantage.
David Miller, Adam Mascherin and Darby Llewellyn scored in the second period for the Rangers.
