OHL Playoffs: Marner, Knights take 3-0 series lead over Otters

Mitchell Marner scores 2 goals and 2 assists in the Knights 5-1 win over the Otters and take a 3-0 series lead on Tuesday.

LONDON, Ont. — Mitch Marner scored twice and added two assists to power the London Knight past the Erie Otters 5-1 on Tuesday in Ontario Hockey League playoff action.

London takes a commanding 3-0 lead in the best-of-seven Western Conference final.

Matthew Tkachuk had a goal and set up two others for London, while Christian Dvorak and Owen MacDonald chipped in as well. Tyler Parsons made 26 saves for the win.

Jake Marchment had a short-handed goal 22 seconds into the third period for Erie. Devin Williams stopped 20 shots for the Otters.

Marner’s second goal came on one of the Knights’ four power plays. Erie didn’t score on its three man advantages.
