KITCHENER, Ont. – Mason Kohn’s second goal of the game came 2:24 into overtime as the Kitchener Rangers held on to defeat the struggling Plymouth Whalers 4-3 on Friday in Ontario Hockey League action.
Dylan DiPerna and David Miller also scored for the Rangers (32-24-10), who blew a 3-0 lead before salvaging two points in extra time, and Nick Maygar tacked on two helpers.
Victor Crus Rydberg, Cullen Mercer and Mathieu Henderson scored for the Whalers (23-37-7), who are on a seven-game skid.
Kitchener’s Dawson Carty made 28 saves for the win. Alex Nedeljkovic gave Plymouth a chance to win by stopping 43-of-44 shots in relief after replacing Zack Bowman, who allowed three goals on 16 shots before starting the second period on the bench.
The Rangers went 0 for 8 on the power play while the Whalers failed to score on three chances with the man advantage.

KINGSTON, Ont. — Lucas Peressini made 34 saves and Spencer Watson scored the eventual winner at 8:32 of the second as the Frontenacs edged Oshawa.
Juho Lammikko also scored for Kingston (31-27-8) while shorthanded.
Stephen Desrochers put the Generals (50-11-6) on the board at 15:51 of the third. Ken Appleby stopped 28-of-30 shots in defeat.

SARNIA, Ont. — Hayden Hodgson scored twice and Taylor Dupuis made 22 saves as the Sting hammered Windsor.
Noah Bushnell, Patrick White, Kevin Spinozzi, Jordan Kyrou and Nikita Korostelev also scored for Sarnia (29-30-7), which led 7-0 after 40 minutes.
Trevor Murphy and Aaron Luchuk responded in the third period for the Spitfires (24-39-4), whose losing streak has reached 10 games. Brendan Johnston started in net for Windsor and was yanked after allowing four goals on seven shots in 14:49 of action. Alex Fotinos turned aside 19-of-22 shots in relief.

GUELPH, Ont. — Jack Flinn made 33 saves and Holden Cook broke a 3-3 deadlock in the third period as Owen Sound slipped past the Storm.
Daniel Milne, Erik Bradford and Kyle Platzer scored for the Attack (34-24-9), who picked up their third win in a row.
Givani Smith, Pius Suter and Jason Dickinson supplied the offence for Guelph (37-26-4). Justin Nichols stopped 31-of-35 shots in defeat.

LONDON, Ont. — Matt Rupert and Aaron Berisha each had two goals and an assist and Tyler Parson made 14 saves in relief as the Knights toppled Saginaw.
Max Domi scored once and set up two more for London (40-24-4) as Jack Hidi, Josh Sterk and Chris Martenet added singles. Michael Giugovaz started in net and stopped 18-of-21 shots in 31:09 of action.
Greg DiTomaso struck twice for the Spirit (28-36-3) while Michael Holmes, Tye Felhaber, Blake Clarke and Artem Artemov scored the others. David Ovsjannikov stopped 31-of-38 shots in defeat.
