OHL Sunday wrap: Rangers lead West, Colts on top

KITCHENER, Ont. — Jeremy Bracco and Jake Henderson each scored twice as the Kitchener Rangers beat the Guelph Storm 5-3 in Ontario Hockey League action on Sunday.

The Rangers (12-0-3) have yet to lose in regulation this season. They moved two points ahead of Erie into first place in the Western Conference standings, though the Otters have played one less game.

The struggling Storm (1-12-1) lost for the ninth time in a row.

Ryan MacInnis had a goal and an assist for Kitchener, while Brandon Robinson set up three goals.

Givani Smith scored all three Guelph goals, with James McEwan setting up two of them.

Luke Opilka made 29 saves for the Rangers.

Justin Nichols surrendered four goals on 18 shots for the Storm before giving way to Bradley Van Schubert, who stopped 14-of-15 shots in relief.

COLTS 6 STEELHEADS 0

MISSISSAUGA, Ont. — Julius Nattinen and Andrew Mangiapane each scored twice to lead Barrie over the Steelheads.

Kevin Lablanc had a goal and two assists, Matt Brassard scored and › for the Colts (9-6-0).

Jack Flinn made 28 saves for the Steelheads (7-7-2).

NORTH BAY, Ont. — Josh Ho-Sang had a goal and two assists as Niagara defeated the Battalion.

Blake Siebenaler and Jordan Maletta also scored for the IceDogs (7-7-1).

Mathew Santos scored for North Bay (6-7-2).

SUDBURY, Ont. — Jeremiah Addison scored twice to lead Ottawa over the Wolves.

Connor Graham, Stepan Falkovsky, Dante Salituro and Travis Barron had the other goals for Ottawa (9-6-1).

Chad Heffernan, Patrick Murphy and Jacob Harris scored for Sudbury (5-10-1).

KNIGHTS 6 GREYHOUNDS 0

SAULT STE. MARIE, Ont. — Max Jones had two goals and an assist and Tyler Parsons stopped 32 shots as London blanked the Greyhounds.

Christian Dvorak, Olli Juolevi and JJ Piccinich each had a goal and an assist for the Knights (11-2-2), while Mitch Marner also scored.

Brandon Halverson stopped 21 of 27 shots for Sault Ste. Marie (6-7-2).

OSHAWA, Ont. — Lukas Lofquist scored two goals, including an empty-netter late in the third period, and added an assist to lead the Generals over Kingston.

Matt Latin, Domenic Commisso, Stephen Desrocher and Sam Harding also scored for Oshawa (8-7-2).

Jared Steege, Lawson Crouse and Spencer Watson had goals for the Frontenacs (9-4-2).

Kingston’s Chad Duchesne received a game misconduct for abuse of an official in the third period.
