OHL Roundup: 67’s rally back, beat Steelheads in OT

MISSISSAUGA, Ont. — Jared Steege scored his second of the game 46 seconds into overtime to lift the Ottawa 67’s to a 4-3 victory over the Mississauga Steelheads on Sunday in Ontario Hockey League action.

Ben Evans had a goal and an assist for the 67’s (15-15-5), who rallied from a two-goal deficit. Drake Rymsha scored the tying goal 18:25 into the third.

Spencer Watson struck twice for Mississauga (11-15-7) and Brendan Harrogate rounded out the offence.

Leo Lazarev started in net for Ottawa, stopped 26-of-29 shots over 41:08. Olivier Lafreniere turned aside all three shots he faced the rest of the way.

Steelheads goaltender Matthew Mancina made 33 saves.

PETES 5 BATTALION 2

NORTH BAY, Ont. — Logan DeNoble scored two goals and set up two more to power Peterborough past the Battalion for its eighth straight win.

Josh Coyle, Matt Spencer and Cole Fraser also scored for the Petes (18-11-4).

Brett McKenzie and Daniil Vertiy scored for North Bay (15-16-2), which has dropped four in a row.

GREYHOUNDS 8 STING 1

SAULT STE. MARIE, Ont. — Boris Katchouk scored twice, including a short-handed goal, and tacked on two assists as the Greyhounds routed Sarnia.

Bobby MacIntyre had a goal and two helpers for Sault Ste. Marie (24-8-2) Colton White also scored shorthanded, Zachary Senyshyn, Liam Hawel, Tim Gettinger and Jack Kopacka also scored.

Jordan Kyrou had the lone goal for the Sting (17-13-4).

GENERALS 4 BULLDOGS 1

OSHAWA, Ont. — Danil Antropov found the back of the net twice to lead the Generals over Hamilton.

Sullivan Sparkes and Medric Mercier also scored for Oshawa (20-9-3).

Zachary Jackson scored for the Bulldogs (14-13-5).
