OHL Roundup: Bracco and Bunnaman drive Rangers to win

SARNIA, Ont. — Connor Bunnaman had two goals and an assist and Jeremy Bracco tacked on three helpers to extend his point streak as the Kitchener Rangers doubled up the Sarnia Sting 6-3 on Wednesday in Ontario Hockey League action.

Bracco, a Toronto Maple Leafs draft pick, has hit the scoresheet in 20 straight games and has 16 goals and 27 assists in the process to sit second in league scoring with 43 points.

Riley Damiani, Giovanni Vallati, Mason Kohn and Nick McHugh also scored for the Rangers (15-7-1), who are on a four-game win streak.

Adam Ruzicka, Alex Black and Troy Lajeunesse found the back of the net for the Sting (12-9-3), who are on a five-game slide.

Luke Olpilka made 27 saves for the win as Justin Fazio kicked out 34-of-39 shots in a losing cause.

Kitchener went 2 for 7 on the power play while Sarnia scored once on six chances with the man advantage.

FLINT, Mich. — Fedor Gordeev scored the go-ahead goal at 12:04 of the third period as the Firebirds toppled Saginaw.

Alex Peters, Nicholas Caamano, Mathieu Henderson and Everett Clark also scored for Flint (13-9-1), which got a 28-save outing from Connor Hicks.

The Spirit (7-12-3) got goals from Mitchell Stephens, Hayden Hodgson and Kyle Bollers while Brendan Bonello turned away 33-of-37 shots in defeat.

OWEN SOUND, Ont. — Michael McNiven made 40 saves and Ethan Szypula scored the shootout winner as the Attack halted London’s six-game win streak.

Nick Suzuki scored in regulation time for Owen Sound (13-11-1).

Robert Thomas forced extra time for the Knights (16-3-4). Tyler Parson stopped 34-of-35 shots in a losing cause.
