OHL Roundup: Kenny Huether scores winner as Generals edge 67’s

OTTAWA – Kenny Huether knocked in the game-winning goal on a power play midway through the third period to lift the Oshawa Generals to a 4-3 win over the Ottawa 67’s on Friday in Ontario Hockey League action.

Kyle MacLean, Serron Noel and Hayden McCool also scored for Oshawa (17-17-2).

Tye Felhaber, Austen Keating and Sasha Chmelevski provided the offence for the 67’s (15-18-3).

Generals goaltender Kyle Keyser kicked out 33 shots. Olivier Tremblay made 25 saves for Ottawa.

The 67’s went 0 for 3 on the power play while Oshawa was 1 for 5 with the man advantage.

SAULT STE. MARIE, Ont. — Rasmus Sandin scored twice as the Greyhounds beat Flint.

Barrett Hayton scored the winner for Sault Ste. Marie (31-3-2) at 19:44 of the third period. Cole MacKay, Ryan Roth and Tim Gettinger also scored.

C.J. Clarke, Jalen Smereck, Hunter Holmes, Jack Wismer and Ty Dellandrea rounded out the offence for the Firebirds (11-21-3).

MISSISSAUGA, Ont. — Nicholas Canade scored the winner 15:07 into the third period as the Steelheads edged Windsor.

Nicolas Hague and Trent Fox also scored for Mississauga (14-21-1).

Kirill Kozhevnikov and Cole Purboo replied for the Spitfires (19-12-3).

KITCHENER, Ont. — Riley Damiani scored the go-ahead goal 16:09 into the third to lead the Rangers over Erie.

Adam Mascherin, Logan Stanley and Connor Bunnaman also scored for Kitchener (23-11-2).

Ivan Lodnia, Chad Yetman and Kyle Maksimovich had goals for the Otters (11-19-6).

SUDBURY, Ont. — Danial Singer scored twice and Billy Constantinou had a goal and two assists to lead Niagara over the Wolves.

Ben Jones, Johnny Corneil, Kirill Maksimov and Akil Thomas also scored for the IceDogs (18-11-5).

Anthony Tabak, Emmett Serensits, Ryan O’Bonsawin and Drake Pilon scored for Sudbury (10-21-5).
