OTTAWA — Leo Lazarev stopped all 23 shots he faced as the Ottawa 67’s shut out the Peterborough Petes 2-0 on Wednesday in Ontario Hockey League action.
Drake Rymsha’s 10th of the season was the eventual winner for Ottawa (10-10-2), while Noel Hoefenmayer added some insurance into an empty net with 38 seconds left to play.
Dylan Wells stopped 31-of-32 shots in net for Peterborough (9-9-3).
The 67’s could not score on their three power plays and the Petes went 0 for 7 with the man advantage.
Ottawa has won four straight.

HAMILTON — Matthew Strome scored his second goal of the night a little over a minute into overtime to help the Bulldogs past Niagara.
Marian Studenic had a goal in the third period for Hamilton (11-6-3).
Ryan Mantha and Johnathon Schaefer replied for the IceDogs (6-9-5).

GREYHOUNDS 5, SPIRIT 3
SAGINAW, Mich. — Tim Gettinger had a hat trick to power Sault Ste. Marie past the Spirit.
Zachary Senyshyn had back-to-back goals to start the second period for the Greyhounds (13-7-1) before Gettinger took over.
Mitchell Stephens, Damien Giroux and Cole Coskey supplied the offence for Saginaw (5-11-3).

MISSISSAUGA, Ont. — Anthony Cirelli, Mitchell Vande Sompel and Renars Krastenbergs all scored in the shootout as Oshawa slipped past the Steelheads.
Medric Mercier had a goal in the first period for the Generals (15-5-1), who are on an 11-game point streak including 10 wins.
Aidan McFarland opened scoring in the first period for Mississauga (6-8-6).
