BARRIE, Ont. – Zachary Magwood scored twice as the Barrie Colts downed the North Bay Battalion 5-3 on Saturday in Ontario Hockey League action.
Jason Willms put away the short-handed winner with 1:47 left to play in the game for the Colts (7-2-1), while Lucas Chiodo and Kirill Nizhnikov chipped in as well.
Luke Moncada, Andy Baker and Cam Dineen replied for the Battalion (3-3-2).
Leo Lazarev made 24 saves for Barrie. Julian Sime kicked out 19 shots for North Bay.
The Colts went 1 for 8 on the power play and the Battalion were 2 for 10 with the man advantage.

PETERBOROUGH, Ont. — Pavel Gogolev’s goal in the final minute of the second was the winner as the Petes topped Sudbury.
Matyas Svoboda, Logan DeNoble, Nick Robertson, Nikita Korostelev and Alex Black also scored for Peterborough (7-2-1).
Kyle Rhodes had a pair of goals for the Wolves (2-5-2) and Dmitry Sokolov also found the back of the net.
Sudbury’s Zack Malik was given a match penalty for checking from behind at 7:28 of the second period.

HAMILTON — Will Bitten and Matthew Strome scored in the shootout as the Bulldogs slipped past Kingston.
