ST. CATHARINES, Ont. — Spencer Watson is settling in nicely with the Mississauga Steelheads.
The 20-year-old scored his second hat trick in as many days Saturday night in Mississauga’s 3-2 comeback overtime win over the Niagara IceDogs in Ontario Hockey League action.
Watson tied the game 2-2 at 18:39 of the third period before scoring the winner 31 seconds into extra time for the Steelheads (10-14-6), who won their fourth in a row. Watson also had a hat trick Friday night in a win over the London Knights.
The Los Angeles Kings draft pick was acquired from the Kingston Frontenacs in early November but has been limited to three games due to injury.
Johnny Corneil and Akil Thomas, on the power play, found the back of the net for Niagara (9-15-7), which dropped its seventh straight.
Matthew Mancina stopped 31 shots for the win in net. Stephen Dhillon made 56 saves for the IceDogs.
Mississauga was 1 for 3 on the power play while Niagara scored once on two chances with the man advantage.

OTTAWA — Travis Barron struck twice, including the winner in the second period, as the 67’s snapped a four-game skid by beating Oshawa.
Patrick White and Jared Steege also scored for Ottawa (13-14-4) while Olivier Lafreniere stopped 31 shots.
Joe Manchurek had a short-handed goal for the Generals (19-8-2), who had a three-game winning streak end. Kyle Keyser turned away 23-of-26 shots.

ERIE, Pa. — Kyle Maksimovich struck twice, including the winner, as the Otters snapped Sault Ste. Marie’s 10-game winning streak.
Alex DeBrincat opened the scoring on the power play for Erie (23-6-2), which won its fourth in a row. Troy Timpano made 19 saves.
Jack Kopacka had both goals for the Greyhounds (21-8-1) and Joseph Raaymakers stopped 29 shots.

HAMILTON — Filip Hronek scored the only goal of the shootout as Saginaw edged the Bulldogs.
Jesse Barwell, DJ Busdeker and Hayden Hodgson supplied the offence in regulation for the Spirit (11-13-5). Evan Cormier turned away 33 shots.
Will Bitten’s second goal of the game at 19:19 of the third period tied it 3-3, forcing extra time. Connor Walters also scored for Hamilton (13-11-5) and Kaden Fulcher stopped 22 shots.

SUDBURY, Ont. — Aaron Luchuk and Cristiano DiGiacinto had a goal and three helpers apiece, Michael DiPietro stopped all 22 shots he faced, and Windsor blanked the Wolves for its fourth straight win.
Cole Purboo and Luke Boka both struck twice for the Spitfires (20-5-4).
Jake McGrath kicked out 25-of-31 shots for Sudbury (13-16-2).
Windsor’s Graham Knott was ejected in the second period for abuse of official.

SARNIA, Ont. — Cliff Pu had a pair of goals and Tyler Parsons made 28 saves as London doubled up the Sting.
Evan Bouchard and Owen MacDonald also chipped in for the Knights (20-4-5).
Troy Lajeunesse and Anthony Salinitri scored for Sarnia (16-12-3). Justin Fazio turned aside 34-of-37 shots in 59:10.
London’s Adrian Carbonara received a match penalty for slew footing in the second period.
