OHL Roundup: Maletta leads IceDogs past Bulldogs

HAMILTON — Jordan Maletta scored twice as the Niagara IceDogs got past the Hamilton Bulldogs 5-3 on Wednesday in Ontario Hockey League action.

Graham Knott, Ryan Mantha and Johnny Corneil supplied the rest of the offence for Niagara (19-13-5), which got two assists each from Josh Ho-Sang and Aaron Haydon.

Mason Marchment struck twice for the Bulldogs (14-21-3), with Niki Petti adding the other. It was Hamilton’s fourth-straight loss.

Stephen Dhillon turned away 26 shots for the win in net as Connor Hicks made 29 saves in defeat.

The IceDogs were 0 for 1 on the power play, with the Bulldogs going scoreless on two chances.

WOLVES 6 GREYHOUNDS 4

SUDBURY, Ont. — Mikkel Aagaard had a pair of goals as the Wolves toppled Sault Ste. Marie.

Danny Desrochers, Brady Pataki, Ryan Valentini and Ben Garagan rounded out the attack for Sudbury (9-26-4).

Zachary Senyshyn scored twice for the Greyhounds (17-16-5), who also got goals from Gabe Guertler and Keigan Goetz.
