OTTAWA – Conor McGlynn’s goal at 17:55 of the third period was the difference as the Kingston Frontenacs held on to defeat the host Ottawa 67’s 4-3 on Wednesday in Ontario Hockey League action.
Ryan Cranford, Spencer Watson and Jason Robertson also scored for the Frontenacs (19-8-3), who are 5-0-1 in their past six outings.
Travis Konecny, Trent Mallette and Jacob Middleton responded for the 67’s (16-13-1), who are on a four-game slide.
Kingston’s Lucas Peressini made 26 saves for the win as Liam Herbst kicked out 28-of-31 shots for Ottawa.
Neither club had a power-play opportunity. The only penalties being handed out were fighting majors to Lawson Crouse and Middleton, who tangled in the second period.
