PETERBOROUGH, Ont. – Blake Speers scored twice and added an assist as the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds downed the Peterborough Petes 4-1 on Thursday in Western Hockey League action.
Gabe Guertler and Liam Hawel also had goals for the Greyhounds (13-13-3), who won their fourth in a row.
Greg Betzold opened the scoring with his 21st of the season for Peterborough (15-12-4).
Brandon Halverson made 40 saves for the win as Matthew Mancina turned away 28 shots for the Petes.
Sault Ste. Marie failed to score on two power plays while Peterborough was 0 for 3 with the man advantage.

ST. CATHARINES, Ont. — Josh Wesley scored the winner in the third period as the IceDogs snapped Saginaw’s three-game winning streak.
Anthony DiFruscia also chipped in for Niagara (16-11-2).
Dylan Sadowy had the lone goal early in the third for the Spirit (11-16-2).

NORTH BAY, Ont. — Brett McKenzie struck twice and the Battalion scored three in the third period to slip past Oshawa.
Steve Harland and Mike Amadio also found the back of the net in the third for North Bay (13-12-3).
Domenic Commisso, Anthony Cirelli and Kenny Huether supplied the offence for the Generals (11-15-5).

WINDSOR, Ont. — Damian Bourne scored the winner 2:42 into overtime as Mississauga edged the Spitfires.
Owen Tippett had a pair of goals in regulation for the Steelheads (17-13-2), including the equalizer at 19:00 of the third period. Nathan Bastian opened the scoring 19 seconds into the first.
Logan Brown, Brendan Lemieux and Aaron Luchuk scored for Windsor (16-9-5).

BARRIE, Ont. — Christian Dvorak had a goal and two assists as London won its eighth straight with a victory over the Colts.
Owen MacDonald, Chandler Yakimowicz, Max Jones, Aaron Berisha and J.J. Piccinich rounded out the attack for the Knights (22-4-2).
Rasmus Andersson, Adrian Carbonara and Cordell James scored for Barrie (17-11-0).
