NORTH BAY, Ont. – Owen Tippett scored 14 seconds into overtime as the Mississauga Steelheads slipped past the North Bay Battalion 4-3 on Sunday afternoon in Ontario Hockey League action.
Michael McLeod, Nathan Bastian and Brendan Harrogate helped build a 3-1 lead for Mississauga (6-7-4) by the 3:13 mark of the third period before North Bay marched back. Joseph Murdaca made 29 saves for the win.
Zach Poirier tied it 3-3 with 50 seconds left in the third period for the Battalion (9-7-2). Steve Harland struck twice and Brent Moran stopped 23 shots.
The Steelheads did not score on their five power plays, while North Bay was 1 for 4 with the man advantage.

LONDON, Ont. — Will Bitten scored twice in the final two minutes of play to lift Hamilton over the Knights.
Cole Candella had a pair of goal for the Bulldogs (10-5-2), while Adam Laishram, Matthew Strome and Benjamin Gleason chipped in as well.
Alex Formenton, Cole Tymkin, Olli Juolevi, Robert Thomas and JJ Piccinich replied for London (10-3-3).

WINDSOR, Ont. — Gabriel Vilardi has a goal and two assists to pace the Spitfires past Barrie.
Sean Day, Aaron Luchuk, Cristiano DiGiacinto, Logan Brown, and Julius Nattinen, shorthanded, rounded out the scoresheet for Windsor (12-4-0), which extended its win streak to four games.
Giordano Finoro had a goal and a helper for the Colts (6-10-2), who dropped their fourth straight. Matt Brassard and Kirill Nizhnikov also scored.

OSHAWA, Ont. — Eric Henderson scored twice, Medric Mercier had a goal and two assists and Jeremy Brodeur made 19 saves as the Generals blanked Ottawa.
Anthony Cirelli, Stephen Templeton and Kenny Huether rounded out the attack for Oshawa (11-5-1), which picked up points in its seventh straight game.
Olivier Lafreniere started in net for the 67’s (6-10-2) but was pulled after giving up three goals on 11 shots through 23:07. Leo Lazarev stopped 21-of-24 shots the rest of the way.
