OHL Roundup: Suzuki scores 3 as Attack beat 67’s

OTTAWA – Nick Suzuki scored a hat trick as the Owen Sound Attack beat the Ottawa 67’s 5-2 on Saturday in Ontario Hockey League action.

Jonah Gadjovich added a goal and two assists with Bryson Cianfrone also chipping in for the Attack (21-17-9), who scored four times in the third period.

Dante Salituro had both goals for Ottawa (24-22-2).

Michael McNiven made 26 saves for the win in net as Liam Herbst kicked out 28-of-32 shots in defeat.

The 67’s were 0 for 3 on the power play and didn’t take any penalties.

GENERALS 2 BULLDOGS 1

HAMILTON — Alexandre Renaud scored the winner 54 seconds into the second period as Oshawa edged the Bulldogs.

Domenic Commisso opened the scoring early in the first for the Generals (18-24-6).

Mitchell Mendonca replied in the third period for Hamilton (17-26-4).

RANGERS 2 SPIRIT 1

SAGINAW, Ont. — Mason Kohn had the winner late in the third period as Kitchener edged the Spirit for its fourth-straight victory.

Adam Mascherin scored on the power play late in the first for the Rangers (34-8-4).

Blake Clarke chipped in for Saginaw (20-24-4).

SPITFIRES 8 KNIGHTS 3

WINDSOR, Ont. — Bradley Latour had a hat trick — scoring once on a penalty shot, once on the power play and once shorthanded — as the Spitfires routed London.

Logan Stanley struck twice with Logan Brown, Hayden McCool and Mikhail Sergachev rounding out the attack for Windsor (30-13-5).

Mitch Marner, Chris Martenet and Max Jones found the back of the net for the Knights (34-10-3).

London’s Chandler Yakimowicz received a match penalty for attempt to deliberately injury at the 14 minute mark of the second period.

COLTS 3 ICEDOGS 2

BARRIE, Ont. — Dylan Sadowy scored the winner on the power play in the third period as the Colts rallied past Niagara.

Julius Nattinen, on the power play, and Roy Radke had the others for Barrie (29-16-2).

Josh Ho-Sang and Johnny Corneil, with the man advantage, opened the scoring for the IceDogs (24-16-6).

Adrian Carbonara of the Colts was assessed a game misconduct for abuse of official midway through the second.

STING 5 FIREBIRDS 2

FLINT, Mich. — Travis Konecny had two goals and an assist as Sarnia downed the Firebirds.

Pavel Zacha, Jordan Kyrou and Sam Studnicka supplied the rest of the offence for the Sting (26-14-6).

Vili Saarjarvi and Mathieu Henderson found the back of the net for Flint (14-28-5).
