BARRIE, Ont. — Andrei Svechnikov scored a hat trick as the Barrie Colts defeated the Windsor Spitfires 6-2 on Saturday night in Ontario Hockey League action.
Aaron Luchuk had a power-play goal and three assists for the Colts (29-18-3). Dmitry Sokolov and Jason Willms also chipped in while Leo Lazarev turned aside 25 shots.
Curtis Douglas and Jake Smith scored for Windsor (23-22-4), which got 33 saves from Michael DiPietro.
Barrie went 2 for 5 on the power play and the Spitfires converted once on six opportunities.

SARNIA, Ont. — Anthony Salinitri scored the first of three goals in the second period to lift the Sting past London.
Drake Rymsha, Adam Ruzicka, Sean Josling and Hugo Leufvenius rounded out the attack for Sarnia (36-12-4). Justin Fazio turned aside 23 shots for the win in net.
Alex Formenton opened the scoring for the Knights (26-20-4) while Jordan Kooy combined with Joseph Raaymakers for 25 saves.

HAMILTON — Riley Stillman scored the winner and Nick Donofrio made 30 saves as the Bulldogs topped Mississauga.
Matthew Strome opened the scoring for Hamilton (33-12-6).
Michael McLeod responded for the Steelheads (23-26-1) and Emanuel Vella turned aside 23 shots.

SAGINAW, Mich. — Mason Kohn scored the eventual winner on a second-period power play and Evan Cormier stopped 29 shots as the Spirit edged Flint.
