OHL Roundup: White’s OT winner lifts 67’s past Steelheads

MISSISSAUGA, Ont. — Patrick White scored 4:14 into overtime to lift the visiting Ottawa 67’s to a 5-4 victory over the Mississauga Steelheads on Sunday in Ontario Hockey League action.

Jared Steege scored twice for the 67’s (9-10-2), who stretched their win streak to three games. Tye Felhaber had a goal and an assist and Kyle Auger also scored. White picked up a helper in regulation for a two-point outing.

Brandan Harrogate found the back of the net 17:33 into the third period for Mississauga (6-8-5) to tie the game. Stefan LeBlanc, Damian Bourne and Nathan Bastian also scored.

Leo Lazarev made 30 saves for the win. Jacob Ingham stopped 19 shots in the losing effort.

Both teams were 0 for 3 on the power play.

SPITFIRES 4, PETES 3

WINDSOR, Ont. — Jeremiah Addison broke a tie with his second goal of the game 18:21 into the third period as the Spitfires edged Peterborough.

Connor Corcoran and Sean Day also scored for Windsor (13-4-1), and Addison added an assist. Michael DiPietro made 19 saves for the win.

Jonathan Ang scored once for the Petes (9-8-3) and picked up assists on the two other goals by Nick Isaacson and Pavel Gogolev. Dylan Wells stopped 27-of-31 shots in defeat.

GENERALS 4, WOLVES 2

OSHAWA, Ont. — Anthony Cirelli had a goal and an assist and Jeremy Brodeur made 24 saves as the Generals doubled up Sudbury.

Sullivan Sparkes, Mitchell Vande Sompel and Riley Stillman also scored for Oshawa (14-5-1).

Macauley Carson and Chandler Yakimowicz responded for the Wolves (9-10-1), who are on a three-game slide. Jake McGrath stopped 42-of-45 shots in defeat.

Sudbury winger Drake Pilon was ejected 1:47 into the third period after receiving a major for a blindside hit on Generals forward Robbie Burt, who had to be stretchered off the ice.

BATTALION 3, OTTERS 2 (OT)

NORTH BAY, Ont. — Steve Harland’s second goal of night came at 3:52 of overtime as the Battalion slipped past Erie.

Brett McKenzie also scored as North Bay (11-7-2) erased a 2-0 deficit. Brent Moran made 34 saves for the victory.

Kyle Maksimovich and Kyle Pettit supplied the goals for the Otters (15-4-2), who got a 29-save outing from Anand Oberoi.
