REGINA — Adam Brooks and Jake Leschyshyn each had a goal and three assists as the Regina Pats downed the visiting Saskatoon Blades 9-6 on Friday in Western Hockey League action.
Filip Ahl and Sam Steel both scored twice as the Pats (12-0-3) reached 15 games without a regulation-time loss to start the season. Regina is currently on an eight-game win streak, which is its longest since the 2001-02 season.
Austin Wagner, Chase Harrison and Dawson Leedhal also scored while Connor Hobbs tacked on three helpers.
Tyler Brown made 34 saves for the win.
Michael Farren had a pair of goals for the Blades (7-9-1) while Logan Christensen, Caleb Fantillo, Braylon Shmyr and Gage Ramsay rounded out the offence with a goal apiece.
Brock Hamm allowed six goals on 17 shots in a period of work before giving way to Logan Flodell, who stopped 27-of-30 shots in relief to take the loss.
Regina went 4 for 8 on the power play while Saskatoon scored once on six chances with the man advantage.
The game got feisty with 155 combined penalty minutes handed out to the two teams and a line brawl late in the third period. Regina’s Hobbs, Robbie Holmes and Luc Smith, along with Saskatoon’s Bryton Sayers were all handed game misconducts at the 17:11 mark of the final period.

WHEAT KINGS 3 THUNDERBIRDS 2
BRANDON — Kale Clague scored the tiebreaking goal midway through the third and Jordan Papirny made 36 saves as the Wheat Kings halted a four-game slide by beating Seattle.
Ty Lewis and Stelio Matheos also scored for Brandon (7-6-3).
Nolan Volcan and Turner Ottenbreit found the back of the net for the Thunderbirds (6-7-1), who got a 27-save outing from Rylan Toth.
Seattle defenceman Ethan Bear was ejected 8:28 into the game after receiving a major for spearing.

KAMLOOPS, B.C. — Rudolfs Balcers had two goals and an assist and Deven Sideroff scored once and set up three more as the Blazers got past Medicine Hat.
Connor Ingram made 36 save for Kamloops (10-8-1), which also got goals from Ondrej Vala and Collin Shirley.
Mark Rassel and Dylan MacPherson responded for the Tigers (11-5-1), who had their three-game win streak snapped. Duncan McGovern stopped 38-of-43 shots in defeat.

MOOSE JAW, Sask. — Zach Sawchenko made 36 saves as the Warriors toppled Edmonton to extend their win streak to four games.
Noah Gregor, Tanner Jeannot and Ryan Bowen supplied the offence for Moose Jaw (11-3-2).
David Kock was the lone goal scorer for the Oil Kings (5-9-2). Patrick Dea stopped 22-of-25 shots in defeat.

PRINCE ALBERT, Sask. — Ian Scott made 22 saves and Sean Montgomery struck twice as Prince Albert blanked Kootenay.
Tim Vanstone, Cavin Leth, Cole Fonstad and Adam Kadlec also scored for Prince Albert (5-11-1), which snapped a four-game losing streak.
Payton Lee turned away 33-of-39 shots for the Ice (3-10-4).

SPOKANE, Wash. — Michael Spacek set up two goals in regulation, then scored the winner in the extra period as Red Deer ended its four-game losing streak by downing the Chiefs.
Jordan Roy, Ethan Sakowich and Austin Pratt also scored for the Rebels (9-7-2) while Riley Lamb made 29 saves for the victory.
Hudson Elynuik, Keanu Yamamoto and Kailer Yamamoto supplied the goals for Spokane (6-6-4). Jayden Sittler stopped 26-of-30 shots in defeat.

SWIFT CURRENT, Sask. — Tyler Steenbergen scored 3:53 into overtime as the Broncos slipped past Calgary.

Carsen Twarynski had both Hitmen (5-5-2) goals while Cody Porter turned away 22-of-25 shots in defeat.

KENNEWICK, Wash. — Michael Rasmussen and Morgan Geekie each scored twice as Tri-City handed Portland its sixth loss in a row.
Parker Aucoin also scored for the Americans (10-6-1). Rylan Parenteau made 31 saves for the win in net.
Ryan Hughes, Carter Czaikowski and Keegan Iverson found the back of the net for the Winterhawks (8-9-0). Cole Kehler started in net for Portland but was yanked after allowing three goals on five shots in 13:34 of action. Michael Bullion stopped 25-of-26 shots in relief, but was pinned with the loss.

VANCOUVER — Nick Merkley struck twice and Tomas Soustal and Calvin Thurkauf had a goal and two assists each as Kelowna downed the Giants.
Braydyn Chizen and Kole Lind also scored for the Rockets (10-8-0). Michael Herringer made 30 saves for the win.
Alec Baer scored twice and Darian Skeoch and Johnny Wesley had a goal apiece for Vancouver (7-11-0). Ryan Kubic kicked out 31-of-36 shots in defeat.

VICTORIA — Griffen Outhouse made 36 saves and Kaid Oliver scored in the 11th round of the shootout to lift the Royals over Lethbridge.
Jack Walker scored twice in regulation to give the Royals (10-7-2) a 2-0 lead.
Jesse Zaharichuk responded with two goals of his own to force extra time for the Hurricanes (7-7-3). Stuart Skinner stopped 25 shots in a losing cause.
