Foreurs beat Drakkar, extend win streak to 11

VAL-D’OR, Que. — Pierre-Maxime Poudrier scored twice and added an assist as the Val-d’Or Foreurs extended their winning streak to 11 games by beating the Baie-Comeau Drakkar 5-2 on Saturday in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action.

Anthony Richard, Anthony Beauregard and Jan Mandat rounded out the attack for the Foreurs (33-22-8).

Nicolas Leblond and Dzmitry Ambrozheichik had goals for Baie-Comeau (33-23-8).

Keven Bouchard turned away 23 shots for the win. Philippe Cadorette stopped 33 shots for the Drakkar.

Val-d’Or scored twice on six power plays as Baie-Comeau went 1 for 7.

HUSKIES 5, TIGRES 1

VICTORIAVILLE, Que. — Jeremy Auger and Julien Nantel each had a goal and an assist as Rouyn-Noranda downed the Tigres.

Julien Pelletier, Mathieu Boucher and Ryan Penny supplied the rest of the offence for the Huskies (31-27-4), as they won their fourth straight. Francis Perron added three assists.

Filip Pyrochta replied in the second period for Victoriaville (27-31-6).
