BOUCHERVILLE, Que. — Ryan Jasinsky of the Victoriaville Tigres has been suspended for 10 games after hammering Pierrick Martel of the Shawinigan Cataractes when he was down on the ice, the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League announced Tuesday.

The six-foot-two Jasinsky continued to pound on Martel after he went down during a brawl in the second period of the Tigres’ 2-1 home win on Friday night.

Shawinigan’s Tommy Tremblay, who was given a game misconduct for being the third man in, was not suspended because it was determined he was only trying to break up the fight.

Victoriaville’s Tyler Noseworthy and Shawinigan’s Mathieu Bolduc were also handed game misconducts for their part in the melee.

Jasinsky, a native of Richmond, Va., has no goals, five assists and 46 penalty minutes this season for Victoriaville.
