QMJHL: Moynihan leads Mooseheads’ offence in win

HALIFAX — Danny Moynihan had a goal and two assists as the Halifax Mooseheads closed out the regular season with a 5-2 win over the Moncton Wildcats on Sunday in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action.

Vincent Watt, Philippe Gadoury, Maxime Fortier and Samuel Leblanc supplied the rest of the offence for Halifax (32-30-6). Kevin Resop kicked out 30 shots in net.

Lane Cormier and Kyle Tibbo had goals for the Wildcats (46-19-3). Jason Rioux turned aside 25 shots.

The Mooseheads were scoreless on two power plays while Moncton went 0 for 5.
