HALIFAX — Anthony Beauregard had two goals and an assist as Val-d’Or routed the Mooseheads 6-1.

Julien Gauthier also struck twice for the Foreurs (21-7-3), who got a goal and three assists from Anthony Richard. Shawn Ouellette-St-Amant rounded out the attack.

Cody Donaghey scored late in the first period for Halifax (11-16-4).

Val-d’Or’s Jack Van Boekel was ejected at 10:34 of the third period for abuse of officials.

SEA DOGS 4 ISLANDERS 3

SAINT JOHN, N.B. — Spencer Smallman and Sam Povorozniouk had power-play goals in the second period as the Sea Dogs edged Charlottetown.

Matthew Highmore, on the power play, and Dawson Theede gave Saint John (17-11-2) an early two-goal advantage.

Filip Rydstrom scored twice and Quinn O’Brien added the other for the Islanders (12-16-3).

BAIE-COMEAU, Que. — Samuel Blais, Joey Sansoni and Maxime Comtois all scored in the second period as Victoriaville doubled up the Drakkar.

Danyck Calgaro opened the scoring for the Tigres (13-12-5) in the first.

Fabrizio Ricci and Samuel Thibault found the back of the net for Baie-Comeau (5-20-2).

HUSKIES 4 WILDCATS 3

MONCTON, N.B. — Julien Nantel scored the eventual winner in the third period as Rouyn-Noranda held off the Wildcats for its fifth-straight victory.

Gabriel Fontaine and Jeremy Lauzon had power-play goals for the Huskies (23-3-4), with Alexandre Sills adding the other.

Kevin Klima struck twice for Moncton (20-9-3), which also got a goal from Kelly Klima.

REMPARTS 2 ARMADA 1 (SO)

QUEBEC CITY — Matthew Boucher scored the decisive goal in the shootout as the Remparts edged Blainville-Boisbriand.

Nikolas Brouillard had the lone goal in regulation for Quebec (17-12-3).

Kristian Pospisil found the back of the net for the Armada (11-15-5).

OLYMPIQUES 3 PHOENIX 2

GATINEAU, Que. — Yakov Trenin scored the winner in the second period as the Olympiques slipped past Sherbrooke.

Alex Dostie and Alexandre Alain also chipped in with second-period goals for Gatineau (21-8-2).

Austin Kozluk and Nicolas Poulin supplied the offence for the Phoenix (12-14-5).

SCREAMING EAGLES 6 CATARACTES 2

SHAWINIGAN, Que. — Anthony Sorrentino scored twice to lead the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles past the Shawinigan Cataractes 6-2 on Saturday in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action.

Pierre-Luc Dubois had a goal and two assists for the Screaming Eagles (16-13-3), who also got three assists from Maxim Lazarev. Dillon Boucher, Evgeny Svechnikov and Michael Joly rounded out the attack.

Brandon Gignac opened the scoring just 25 seconds into the game for Shawinigan (21-9-1), which also got a power-play goal from Alexis D’Aoust in the second.

Alexandre Belanger made 31 saves for the win as Mikhail Denisov turned away 17-of-22 shots in the loss.

Cape Breton scored once on two power plays while the Cataractes were 1 for 4.
