VAL-D’OR, Que. — Mathieu Joseph had two goals and an assist as the Saint John Sea Dogs beat the Val-d’Or Foreurs 4-2 on Saturday night in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action.
Jakub Zboril and Spencer Smallman also scored for the Sea Dogs (7-2-1) with Matthew Highmore adding three helpers.
Julien Gauthier and Ivan Kozlov found the back of the net for Val-d’Or (5-6-0).
Alex D’Orio made 18 saves for the win as Etienne Montpetit turned away 38 shots in defeat.
Saint John converted once on four power plays while the Foreurs were 1 for 5.

BOISBRIAND, Que. — Yvan Mongo scored twice, including the winner while shorthanded, and added an assist as the Armada doubled up Halifax.
Connor Bramwell and Brock Perry also chipped in for Blainville-Boisbriand (6-3-1), which got 19 saves from Francis Leclerc.
Walter Flower and Connor Moynihan had goals for the Mooseheads (5-5-0). Alexis Gravel turned away 31-of-34 shots in net.

CHICOUTIMI, Que. — Dmitry Zhukenov scored the winner 1:43 into overtime as the Sagueneens edged Sherbrooke.
Ryan Verbeek had a power-play goal in regulation for Chicoutimi (2-6-0) and Xavier Potvin stopped 24 shots.
Hugo Roy opened the scoring with a goal on the power play while Evan Fitzpatrick kicked out 25 shots for the Phoenix (3-4-2).

CHARLOTTETOWN — Matthew Welsh made 37 saves and Filip Chlapik struck twice as the Islanders toppled Cape Breton.
Pierre-Olivier Joseph and Kameron Kielly also scored for Charlottetown (6-3-1).
Giovanni Fiore and Drake Batherson had goals for the Screaming Eagles (4-5-0). Kyle Jessiman stopped 37-of-40 shots in goal.

VICTORIAVILLE, Que. — Alexandre Goulet and Ivan Kosorenkov both had a pair of goals to lead the Tigres past Moncton.
Andrew Smith had the other and James Povall made 22 saves for Victoriaville (5-4-0).
Cameron Askew and Adam Capannelli scored for the Wildcats (4-5-0), who got 24 saves from Keven Bouchard.
Moncton’s Zachary Malatesta was ejected in the first period following a major penalty for checking to the head.

ROUYN-NORANDA, Que. — Philippe Myers and Martins Dzierkals both struck twice as the Huskies got past Drummondville.
Jean-Christophe Beaudin and Gabriel Fontaine rounded out the attack for Rouyn-Noranda (7-1-1). Peter Abbandonato and Alexandre Fortin tacked on three assists apiece and Samuel Harvey turned aside 25 shots.
Samuel Gaumond and Pavel Koltygin scored for the Voltigeurs (5-2-2). Frederic Foulem made 24 saves in net.
