VAL-D’OR, Que. — Timo Meier had two power-play goals — including one in overtime — as the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies rallied past the Val-d’Or Foreurs 6-5 on Tuesday in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action.
Jean-Christophe Beaudin also had a pair of power-play goals as Rouyn-Noranda (46-9-5) scored six unanswered goals for its sixth straight win. Francis Perron and Peter Abbandonato also had goals for the Huskies, who are first in the QMJHL standings and lead Val-d’Or by five points in the West Division.
Anthony Beauregard struck twice on the power play for the Foreurs (44-12-4). Jan Mandat, Julien Gauthier and Shawn Ouellette-St-Amant also chipped in as Val-d’Or built a 5-0 lead.
Samuel Harvey made 20 saves for the win, while Etienne Montpetit stopped 27 shots in net for the Foreurs.
Rouyn-Noranda was 4 for 9 on the power play and Val-d’Or was 3 for 7 with the man advantage.

CHICOUTIMI, Que. — Jonathan Bourcier scored near the midway point of the third period to lift the Sagueneens over Quebec.
Zachary Lavigne and Marc-Andre Gauvreau also chipped in as Chicoutimi (28-23-9) won back-to-back games.
Aaron Dutra and Jesse Sutton replied for the Remparts (28-27-6).

SEA DOGS 4, TITAN 3
SAINT JOHN, N.B. — Sam Povorozniouk scored the winner at the 6:42 mark of the third period as the Sea Dogs edged Acadie-Bathurst.
Matt Murphy had tied the game 3-3 a little over four minutes earlier for Saint John (39-16-4), while Thomas Chabot and Spencer Smallman also scored.
Jeffrey Truchon-Viel, Antoine Morand and Vladimir Kuznetsov supplied the offence for the Titan (24-29-6).
