QMJHL Roundup: Roy plays OT hero as Sagueneens edge Olympiques

CHICOUTIMI, Que. — Nicolas Roy scored on the power play in overtime to lead the Chicoutimi Sagueneens past the Gatineau Olympiques 4-3 on Tuesday in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action.

Vincent Tremblay-Lapalme had a pair of goals in regulation time as Chicoutimi (14-9-1) extended its point streak to four games, including three wins. Jake Smith scored while Xavier Potvin made 17 saves.

Gabriel Bilodeau’s goal with 4:01 left in the third forced the extra period for Gatineau (10-13-3), while Daniel Del Paggio and Vitalii Abramov also found the back of the net. Mark Grametbauer stopped 27 shots.

The Sagueneens were 3 for 8 with the power play and the Olympiques went 1 for 2.

RIMOUSKI, Que. — Bokondji Imama struck twice as Saint John sailed past the Oceanic.

Thomas Chabot had the eventual winner as the Sea Dogs (17-6-3) had five consecutive goals. Mathieu Joseph and Oliver Felixson also scored.

Hunter Moreau replied for Rimouski (12-14-1).
