QMJHL roundup: Remparts just edge Islanders

GATINEAU, Que. – Alex Dostie scored the decisive goal in the sixth round of the shootout to lead the Gatineau Olympiques past the Acadie-Bathurst Titan 4-3 on Wednesday night in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action.

Vitalii Abramov, Jake Coughler and Austin Eastman opened the scoring for the Olympiques (17-8-2).

Christophe Boivin scored twice with Antoine Morand added the other in the third period for Acadie-Bathurst (10-15-3) to force extra time.

Bo Taylor turned away 24 shots through regulation and overtime for Gatineau. Reilly Pickard made 41 saves for the Titan.

The Olympiques were 0 for 3 on the power play with Acadie-Bathurst converting on both its attempts.

REMPARTS 5 ISLANDERS 4

CHARLOTTETOWN — Massimo Carozza scored twice as Quebec edged the Islanders.

Bronson Beaton, Dmytro Timashov and Matthew Boucher also chipped in for the Remparts (15-11-2).

Bradley Kennedy struck twice for Charlottetown (11-13-3), which also got goals for Oliver Cooper and Alexandre Goulet.

BOISBRIAND, Que. — Philippe Sanche had a goal and two assists as the Armada slipped past Moncton.

Alexandre Delisle-Houde, Connor Bramwell, Joel Teasdale, Pascal Corbeil and Kristian Pospisil all had a goal and an assist for Blainville-Boisbriand (10-14-3).

Kelly Klima scored twice for the Wildcats (16-8-3). Cameron Askew, Manuel Wiederer and Austin Kosack also found the back of the net.

OCEANIC 5 SAGUENEENS 1

CHICOUTIMI, Que. — Nicolas Werbik had a goal and two assists as Rimouski downed the Sagueneens.

Charles-Edouard D’Astous, Dylan Montcalm, Samuel Beck and Michael Joly provided the rest of the Oceanic (15-9-2) offence.

Dmitry Zhukenov had the lone goal for Chicoutimi (10-13-3).
