SHERBROOKE, Que. — Alexandre Alain scored a hat trick and added two assists as the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada routed the Sherbrooke Phoenix 8-2 on Friday night in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action.
TJ Melancon had two goals and a helper while Thomas Ethier scored once and had two assists for the Armada (7-4-1). Maxime Collin and Anthony Poulin also scored.
Olivier Schingh-Gomez and Marek Zachar found the back of the net for Sherbrooke (4-5-2).
Francis Leclerc stopped all 22 shots he faced in relief for the win in net. Jacob Stewart turned aside 4-of-6 shots in 13:37 before being pulled.
Evan Fitzpatrick took the loss by kicking out 12-of-15 shots in 24:48. Justin Blanchette went the rest of the way and made 23 saves.
Blainville-Boisbriand scored once on six power plays while the Phoenix were 1 for 4.

HUSKIES 4, MOOSEHEADS 2
HALIFAX — Peter Abbandonato struck twice and Samuel Harvey made 22 saves as Rouyn-Noranda doubled up the Mooseheads.
Antoine Waked and Philippe Myers also scored for the Huskies (8-1-1).
Ben Higgins and Connor Moynihan had goals for Halifax (6-6-0), which got 20 stops from Kevin Resop.

MONCTON, N.B. — Christophe Boivin and Antoine Morand had a goal and two assists apiece as Acadie-Bathurst got past the Wildcats.
Nicolas Dumulong and Olivier Desjardins supplied the rest of the offence for the Titan (6-4-2). Reilly Pickard stopped 23 shots.
Cameron Askew opened the scoring on the power play for Moncton (4-7-0) and Keven Bouchard made 30 saves.

SAINT JOHN, N.B. — Mathieu Joseph had a pair of goals and Alex D’Orio made 19 saves to lead the Sea Dogs over Val-d’Or.

Julien Gauthier had a short-handed goal for the Foreurs (5-7-0). Dereck Baribeau turned aside 22-of-26 shots before giving way to Etienne Montpetit, who stopped all 16 shots he face in the third period.

RIMOUSKI, Que. — Tyler Boland’s 11th goal of the season was the overtime winner as the Oceanic won their fourth straight by topping Victoriaville.
Dylan Montcalm had a pair of goals in regulation, including once on the power play, for Rimouski (7-4-0). Hunter Moreau, on the power play, and Charle-Edouard D’Astous had the others while Alexandre Lagace made 20 saves in net.
