BATHURST, N.B. – Filip Zadina scored the go-ahead goal 19:11 into the third period and the Halifax Mooseheads squashed a Titan comeback attempt to beat Acadie-Bathurst 6-5 on Sunday in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action.
Raphael Lavoie scored twice and had two assists for Halifax (26-10-5), who allowed four goals from the Titan in the third period to tie the game. Maxime Fortier, with a goal and two helpers, Ben Higgins and Connor Moynihan also scored for the Mooseheads.
Olivier Galipeau led the Titan (21-12-8) with two goals. Cole Rafuse, German Rubtsov and Jeffrey Truchon-Viel had the others.
Blade Mann-Dixon turned aside 42 shots for Halifax. Evan Fitzpatrick combined with Joseph Murdaca for 22 saves for Acadie-Bathurst.
The Titan went 1 for 2 on the power play while the Mooseheads were 1 for 1 with the man advantage.
