QMJHL Roundup: Zadina scores twice as Moosehead beat Oceanic

HALIFAX — Raphael Lavoie scored his second goal of the afternoon 2:29 into overtime as the Halifax Mooseheads edged the Rimouski Oceanic 6-5 on Monday in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action.

Filip Zadina had a pair of goals in the first period for Halifax (37-13-7), while Benoit-Olivier Groulx and Connor Moynihan rounded out the attack.

Alexis Gravel made 33 saves as the Mooseheads won their third straight.

Alexis Lafreniere struck twice for Rimouski (36-14-7), Anthony D’Amours had a goal and an assist, while Mathieu Bizier and Anthony Gagnon chipped in as well.

Colten Ellis started in net for the Oceanic, stopping 7-of-11 shots in 27:55 of work. He was replaced by Carmine-Anthony Pagliarulo, who turned aside 14-of-16 shots.

Rimouski’s six-game point streak continues with the overtime loss.

Both teams went 0 for 2 on the power play.
