Sea Dogs’ Anderson to be released from hospital

SAINT JOHN, N.B. — Saint John Sea Dogs forward Stephen Anderson is scheduled to be discharged form hospital Friday, the team has announced.

The 19-year-old from Morell, P.E.I., was admitted to a Saint John hospital Sunday evening with upper-body injuries and subsequent complications following a body check in game a against the Acadie-Bathurst Titan.

Medical staff monitoring his condition have determined he is ready to leave the hospital, although the team says more home-based recovery time is necessary.
