Stuart saves 49 as Hurricanes edge Oil Kings

EDMONTON – Ryley Lindgren scored twice — including the eventual winner — as the Lethbridge Hurricanes edged the Edmonton Oil Kings 4-3 on Tuesday in Western Hockey League action.

Lindgren’s second goal came 5:47 into the third period, giving Lethbridge (13-31-6) a 4-2 lead. Carter Folk and Ryan Vandervlis also scored for the Hurricanes, as Stuart Skinner made 49 saves for the win.

Edgars Kulda, Brandon Baddock and Brett Pollock supplied the offence for Edmonton (24-23-6). Tristan Jarry stopped 17 shots for the Oil Kings.

Lethbridge went 0 for 3 on the power play, while Edmonton scored once on four man advantages.

PATS 4, RAIDERS 2

REGINA — Austin Wagner’s goal midway through the third period was the eventual winner as the Pats topped Prince Albert.

Luc Smith and Pavel Padakin also scored for Regina (28-17-6), while Sam Steel added an empty-net goal.

Matteo Gennaro and Reid Gardiner replied for the Raiders (21-29-1).

SILVERTIPS 3, CHIEFS 2

SPOKANE, Wash. — Remi Laurencelle’s second-period goal stood as the winner as Everett fended off the Chiefs.

Ivan Nikolishin and Brayden Low both scored in the first period for the Silvertips (32-15-4).

Keanu Yamamoto and Dominic Zwerger had goals for Spokane (24-22-4).
