EDMONTON — Nik Amundrud made 37 saves and Wyatt Sloboshan scored 1:16 into overtime as the Saskatoon Blades held on to defeat the host Edmonton Oil Kings 3-2 on Tuesday in Western Hockey League action.
Nikita Soshnin and Cameron Hebig built the Blades (4-2-3) a 2-0 lead before Edmonton stormed back to force extra time.
Brandon Baddock and Lane Bauer scored for the Oil Kings (3-6-2), who are on a five-game slide.
Edmonton’s Alec Dillon kicked out 15-of-18 shots in a losing cause.
Saskatoon went 0 for 4 on the power play while the Oil Kings failed to score on three chances with the man advantage.

CRANBROOK, B.C. — Sam Steel had a goal and an assist and Regina built up a three-goal lead en route to defeating the Ice.
Colton Kroeker and Riley Woods also scored for the Pats (6-5-0), who got a 37-save performance from Daniel Wapple.
Zak Zborosky and Luke Philp struck for Kootenay (2-10-0), which has dropped three in a row. Declan Hobbs made 27 saves in defeat.

PRINCE GEORGE, B.C. — Jesse Gabrielle had a pair of goals and Kody McDonald scored once and set up two more as the Cougars toppled Calgary.
Brad Morrison and Tyler Mrkonjic also found the back of the net for Prince George (4-4-0). Mack Shields made 25 saves for the win.
Travis Sanheim had both goals for the Hitmen (6-4-1), while Lasse Petersen turned away 35 shots in a losing cause.
