EDMONTON — John Quenneville scored two goals and set up another and Jordan Papirny turned aside all 15 shots he faced as the Brandon Wheat Kings blanked the Edmonton Oil Kings 5-0 to even their first-round Western Hockey League playoff series at two games apiece.
Reid Duke and Kale Clague each had a goal and an assist for the Wheat Kings and Jayce Hawryluk rounded out the attack.
Edmonton goaltender Payton Lee stopped 31 shots in the losing effort.
Brandon was 2 for 8 on the power play while the Oil Kings failed to take advantage of five opportunities with the man advantage.
Game 5 goes Sunday in Edmonton.
